This is a great and unique opportunity for teams across the world to offer Gita recitation seva to Gitaacharya, The Lord Sri Krishna himself at Udupi Gita Mandir.

This is one of the divine initiatives as part of Vishwa Gita Paryaya of Sri Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji of Sri Puthige Matha, Udupi. The purpose of this initiative is to promote Srimand Bhagavad Gita in the society. Chanting of Bhagavad Gita, understanding and implementing its teachings in one’s life has unspeakable benefits.

Under this initiative there will be continuous chanting of Srimad Bhagavad Gita between Sunrise to Sunset called Udayaastamaana (approximately 6AM to 6PM) every day starting 19th Jan 2024 and 16th Jan 2026.

Each day is divided into three sessions of 4 hours each starting at 6AM, 10AM and 2PM. In every session all the 18 chapters will be chanted by different teams. You can book 1 or more slots. Please check your email for your Gita Parayana Slot confirmations.

There will also be International Srimad Bhagavad Gita Conference, followed by Srimad Bhagavadgita mahaa yaaga some time during these two years.

Important Note:

1.Minimum of 4 members are required for each group. It can have a maximum of 10 members.
2.Dormitory accommodation will be arranged for the teams for two days fully free of cost. Beyond 2 days, devotees can book rooms as per their needs.
3.If accommodation other than the dormitory facility is required, please inform at least two weeks in advance, so that it will be helpful for us arrange. Charges will be applicable for such accommodation.
4.Teams to arrive at the chanting place at least 15 minutes before the chanting time.
5.Teams allotted with first slot in the morning (6AM) should mandatorily arrive at Udupi the previous night itself and confirm the arrival.
6.All participating teams should contact the assigned coordinator as soon as they arrive in Udupi.
7.All the teams, post chanting, should meet the assigned coordinator for the Sri Krishna Prasadam.
8.If you wish to cancel or modify the slot you have booked, please contact the coordinator. Please note our intension is to have Gita chanting continuously from sun rise to sun set. Last minute cancellation or no-show will impact the Sankalpa of Sri Swamiji. It will be helpful for us to arrange some other team if informed earlier.
